A Las Vegas dog needs shade and a secure place more than it needs a big yard. We build kennels and dog runs for homes, boarding businesses, veterinary offices, rescues and working-dog handlers, sized to the dogs and the space.
Most are galvanized or coated chain link on steel frames, with welded wire or solid panels as options between runs. We plan for heat first. A shade cover or roof panel is close to essential, the run should sit on the cooler side of the house if possible, and bare metal and concrete in full sun can burn paws. Floors are concrete or pavers sloped to drain for washing down. Where the run sits on soil or gravel, we add a dig barrier along the bottom. Gates get latches a clever dog cannot lift.
A closed top stops climbers and adds protection for small dogs from coyotes and large birds, which do come into yards on the valley's edges. Local animal regulations and zoning can limit the number of dogs and how close a kennel may sit to a neighbor. HOAs may regulate structures seen over the wall. We check those points for your address before building.
Dog kennels in Las Vegas: common questions
Can you add a roof or shade to a kennel?
Yes. Shade cloth or solid roof panels on a steel frame are standard requests here.
How do you stop a dog digging out?
With a concrete floor or curb, or mesh buried along the base of the run.
Do kennels need HOA approval?
If the structure is visible above the wall, often yes. Low runs in a side yard usually raise fewer questions. We check your guidelines.
